Fractions

Today our talk is fractions! I was asked to write what I already knew and what I learnt. I already knew that if the numerator is the same as the denominator that equals a whole number. I knew if you had a pizza with 10 pieces and you gave a friend 2 pizzas, the denominator would be the same as it started which is ten. Now you have 8 slices. The answer would be eight over ten. Now I will talk about what I learned I learned the names of the fraction and about why they are that Zero = 0 over a number Proper = smaller number over larger number Whole = numerator and the denominator are the same Improper = the larger number is over the smaller number I learned that comparing fractions is called the equivalent.
